Drywall repair is surprisingly complex. A cut-rate handyman will often put insufficient backing (or none at all) behind a drywall patch to save time. When patches aren’t properly secured, the piece will move and flex, resulting in ugly cracks on the surface. Improper taping technique without the right tools leaves your finish lumpy and looking like an obvious repair.
At Mr Fix It, we take pride in doing the job right the first time. We start by screwing into solid backing which also provides a smoother surface for finishing. We then use fiberglass mesh tape for strength, and apply multiple coats of joint compound, feathering it out to a level 5 finish with a 12″ blade. Finally, we match your surrounding texture, and the wall is ready for paint. Perfectly matched, blended, and invisible to even the most critical eye.
