At Mr. Fix It Idaho, we recently undertook a project that involved a complete overhaul of an outdated winder staircase. Our team removed the old handrail and balusters, replacing them with new stair skirting that required complex angles and transitions. We custom routed new white oak newel posts, which we then fit and fabricated to the stair treads and anchored into the framing. The handrail was installed with precise miter angles, and we finished off the project by installing cast iron balusters and securing them with epoxy into the handrail.
